Tits, Boobies and Loons: ARE ORNITHOLOGISTS OK? 2022’s funny bird identification book, the humorous guide to spotting ornithology’s most weird and wonderful birds Hardcover – 17 Feb. 2022

by Stu Royall (Author) Illustrated by Libby Morris

From the monotonous lark to the rough-faced shag, these poor birds have us all asking: ARE ORNITHOLOGISTS OK?

Some people will literally name all the birds instead of going to therapy, and this book exposes all the weird and wonderful monikers these poor feathered creatures have been tarred with. From the go-away-bird and the common loon to the sad flycatcher and the sombre tit, we seriously have to wonder why such disturbed ornithologists even went into this line of work.

Tits, Boobies and Loons is for all fans of birds, language and rude words. Or anyone who secretly considers themselves a bit of a red-rumped bush tyrant.

“LITTLE PLOVER” GREETING CARDS by Libby Morris

Birthday gifts and the greeting card can sometimes be harder to choose for the one’s we love most.

When we are young, we know what our loved one’s would like, but know buying for themselves is an extravagance.  This gives us the opportunity to give them the perfect gift.

As the years go by, we feel we already possess almost everything needed for a comfortable life.  We no longer yearn for some new gadget.

My first suggestion for anyone looking for a greeting card which will delight any “twitcher”, wildlife lover or art enthusiast.

Libby Morris is an ecologist and wildlife illustrator who founded “Little Plover” greetings cards.  The difference between Libby’s card range and almost all others, is that each card weighs the same as the bird that it portrays.  Imagine giving a card with a wren on it, which weighs exactly the same as the wren.  The cards are the product of the many illustrations Libby has made in the course of her work as an ecologist.  From the many studies she made, she has painted in detail the birds which she loves and works to protect their natural habitat.  These greetings cards are works of art and make perfect framed pictures which together can decorate any home.
