Reading ignites creativity, sparks curiosity, and stimulates the imagination in both adults and children. Encouraging youngsters to read a book helps develop a life-long love of books, curiosity and general knowledge. Encouraging youngsters by giving them books which are full of humour and entertaining stories, is the beginning of a life-long love of books. Look at my selection of books for the summer, which I hope offers something for all youngsters. Reading is an excellent builder of empathy in youngsters. It develops our moral codes and ethical stances. Reading a variety of books, helps youngsters to understand the bigger picture, as well as developing stronger oral and literacy skills.
